Today was my second day with the four year olds. They are so cute! I feel especially lucky because I managed a whole 15 minute lesson with them before they lost interest. Let me introduce Matthew,

I find it interesting that all these kids have western (English) names . . .
Most Koreans have Korean names and western names. Sometimes the parents give them the two names at birth or sometimes they are named upon entering school. I've named several students since starting. It is so much easier for us teachers to use names we are familiar with.
I guess I am partial to Matthew as well...but then it is probably because I am bias to the name!
