After four months, I finally got a cell phone. Our Korean helper teacher took me to the store. Surprise, surprise, our boss knows the owner of the store. There might have been some problems changing the account but having a boss like Mrs. Lee seems to make some of those potential problems disappear.
My new-used phone has seen its share of wear and tare having been passed down through five previous teachers. But it is a decent model and camera phone and unlike the majority of phones here, the menus are in English.
I have a pay-as-you-go plan so it should be relatively easy to use. At least now when the ladies at the post office ask what my hand phone number is I'll be able to give it to them.
